With more enjoyable weather ahead we want to spend more time with our children in the outdoors: playing in the park, on the beach or visit a friend’s house. By packing a snack or take lunch we can stay out for longer as there is no need to turn home as soon as little tummies start to rumble – and what is better than enjoying a bit of al fresco dining with our children?

With the Kids Konserve Snak Paks you can pack your food without the use of any cling film, plastic food bags or ugly plastic containers. Neither is there any need for wasting money on pre-packed portion packs of e.g cheese, fruit and raisins. Instead go ‘naked’ this spring with a nude lunch (as they call it Down Under) by buying bigger packs and portion out as and when required. The eco-chic and waste-free solution includes: two stainless steel leak-proof containers, one Food Kozy to wrap your sandwich or other foods, one cotton napkin – and it all comes in a pretty cotton sack with matching name tag.

We are offering the Whimsy Snak Paks in Magenta and Mud at an introductory price of £19.50 during March and will then be selling the waste free packs for £24.00.

So Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake day is approaching, this year it is 8th March but pancakes should be enjoyed much more frequently than once a year; they are fun to make, children can help out and best of all they make a very affordable dish. Pancakes make a nice midweek dessert for a day when the little ones deserve a treat, and they are especially good on days when you have served a lighter meal such as soup for dinner.

Traditionally in Sweden families enjoy soup and pancakes for dinner every Thursday. Make sure you make some extra pancakes and you will have enough for lunchboxes the next day. These ones are classic thin pancakes – not the thick American type. For gluten free pancakes just substitute the flour for gluten free flour.
