About My Friendly Lunchbox

Soon after my daughter started school I was getting increasingly frustrated with the whole lunchbox thing. There were the leaking bottles that made the drink smell and taste of plastic. My cupboards never seemed to contain the right size or type of container for the food I wanted to pack. But my main concern was all the waste that I threw away every day when emptying the lunchbox - yoghurt pots, clingfilm, plastic bags, empty packs of raisins, cheese dunkers or hummous pots - whatever was in the lunch box that day.

There must be a better way I thought and started to search the internet for waste free lunches, bpa free bottles and leak proof food containers. I soon realised that there was not a website in the UK dedicated to these products and that most products that I found were only available in the US, Canada or Australia where the concept of a waste free lunch is very big and popular.

So that was how the idea of this website came about. My Friendly Lunchbox source and sell BPA free, high quality products that make it easy to pack a lunch without creating unnecessary waste. With a waste free lunch you can say goodbye to convenience products designed for lunchboxes. Not only are they expensive and contain a lot of unnecessary packaging but these products are often loaded with saturated fat, calories and sodium.
